Well there has been a lot going on here at B & B Railways. We have completed out last sale of 6 axle engines to Eastern Township Railroad via the CN. We are also proud to announce our first purchase of a 'Green' unit from NRE and will be placed on our system be the end of the year. Our plan is to purchase a few more Green units, and we are working out details. We are also working on a few more bids to obtain some more 4-axle power for this portion of the line. This portion of the B & B network is only suited for 4 axle, which can make power hauling a bit more difficult as more units are needed on certain days.
I have modified the layout for various reasons, and will post the new version this weekend after some finial tweaking to it. Our new system will hopefully be here by year end, and will be testing it on the layout. It is from RTI, and is a Wireless Android Zigbee system. This system requires no wiring on your layout, as there is a module in the engine that makes it run and with the aid of NO booster. No in-between with this system like others. All you need is a place to re-charge your engine, a separate track like you would do with DCC. The system has an easy to use interface on the tablet. You can control signals and switches, through the interface on the tablet and also through the hand control (coming soon) The system also come with 24bit sound system of CD quaility. As of November, I will be starting the daily log of what happens on my railway. Some days will be back to back, others may have some time in between.
